This drive-in opened in 2007 and has been run by the same family every day since. Nineteen years of continuous operation, never handed to a management company, never run from a spreadsheet in another state. The family that owns it works it, and you will run into them on the lot.
That is why Happy Hour here runs 2 to 5 instead of 2 to 4. Nobody made us do that. We just never took the hour back.

Happy Hour, 2 to 5 PM, every single day
Half-price drinks and slushes from 2 to 5 PM, seven days a week. SONIC’s national Happy Hour is 2 to 4. Ours has always been 2 to 5, a full hour longer. Route 44s, Cherry Limeades, Ocean Water, and every slush flavour on the board. Pull into a stall and a carhop brings it out.
Drinks, slushes and frozen treats
The drinks are the reason most people come here. Fountain drinks, limeades, lemonades, slushes, hand-mixed sodas, shakes, floats, sundaes and Master Blasts. It is over 100 degrees in the Coachella Valley most of the summer, and a large slush fixes a lot of that.
We also sell bags of SONIC ice, the small chewable kind people drive out of their way for.
Open late
The kitchen and the drink station run until midnight every night, not just weekends. If you are looking for food or a cold drink late in Cathedral City, we are open when most of Date Palm Drive is not.
Charging a Tesla on Date Palm?
There are eight Superchargers on our lot, and a full charge takes about twenty minutes. That is roughly the time it takes to drink a Cherry Limeade. Call us from the charger on (760) 202-1999 and we will have it ready.

How late are you open?
Midnight, seven nights a week. We open at 8:30 AM.
Do you have ice cream?
Yes. Shakes, floats, sundaes and Master Blasts, plus slushes and cream slushes.
Can I buy a bag of ice?
Yes, we sell bagged SONIC ice at the drive-in.
